Allie De Boer, Master Level Intern

People come to therapy for many reasons. Perhaps you feel confused about how you got to where you are and need help gathering some clarity. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed with all that has happened to you, and you need someone to help you feel seen. Or maybe life is changing rapidly in ways you’re not ready for, and you want support you as you navigate these new realities. Your reasons for seeking therapy are as unique as you are. I believe that the course of therapy must suit each client’s needs, so the course of counseling will be shaped to your unique story and goals. You can set the pace and style of our work. As your therapist, I commit to listening compassionately to your story, traveling the road with you on your journey, and offering genuine care, respect, and support.

Coming to meet a new therapist is a vulnerable experience. I want to honor your bravery in seeking support as I partner with you in creating change, finding healing, and experiencing more freedom, agency, and connection.

About Allie

Allie is a graduate student at Denver Seminary completing her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. Allie currently sees children, adolescents, and adults. In her work, she draws from narrative therapy, attachment theory, and somatic awareness. She believes change comes from healthy connection with others, understanding of our stories, and embodied processing of our experiences. Allie works with a variety of presenting issues, but her passions include working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, life change & transitions, grief and loss, relational difficulty, trauma recovery, chronic illness/disability, and challenges in spirituality/deconstruction.
