Lexi Ellis, LPC-S

We all have unique stories that involve events and circumstances that have lasting impacts on us and those around us. Those experiences during our formative years form the basis of our personality and our core beliefs. Sometimes the messages we receive and internalize at a young age distort the truth of who we were created to be.

I believe that humans are motivated by their innate desire to be in relationship with others, that all behavior is purposeful, and that humans strive toward a sense of wholeness and completion.

I am drawn toward the strengths-based and experiential models of counseling and work primarily from the perspective of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Somatic Experiencing (SE). I strongly believe that having new, positive experiences in the inner world and in the context of a therapeutic relationship are incredibly helpful in the process of growth.

My intention is to walk with you in your pain and in your joy as you explore who you are, and grow into who you were truly created to be.
